In Season Four, we’re getting up close and personal with three areas in Acadia: freshwater wetlands, granite-topped mountain summits, and boreal forests. Each episode is set in one of those research sites and focuses on the science stories happening there.

Sea to Trees Season 4 Place-Based Science | Trailer Script

[00:03-00:33 ] Schoodic Institute at Acadia National Park is proud to bring you season four of Sea to Trees, a podcast that tells the stories of science happening in and around Acadia.

My name is Julia Rush and I will be your host this season. Each episode focuses on one specific area in Acadia and together we’ll discover some of the ecological research happening there.

I’ll be taking you into the boreal forest,

[00:30-00:45 ] Gillian Audier: I really like this spot too, because once you get off the road, there's, like, just a really thick area of deciduous trees, and you kind of have to crash through and like it's really crowded, but then once you get through, it's like just a whole different biome, and it's so quiet right there, even though the roads here. [15 sec.]

To the grassy freshwater wetland,

[00:48-00:58 ] Chris Nadeau: You go to Great Meadow nestled at the bottom of Dorr Mountain and you can look at the pink rhodora flowers through the fog and when I do that like my stress level just drops right away. [10 sec.]

All the way up to the granite-capped mountain summit
